Accessing the Lab Environment

This lesson is a very brief guide to accessing the lab environment. More detailed instructions on using it are available within the environment itself.

Logging in to the Lab Environment

The environment that you will use in the labs in this course is hosted using a system called Strigo. The first time that you access a lab using the link provided in the lab lessons, you will will be prompted to log in to Strigo.

Your Strigo account must have the same email address that you are using for Tanzu Academy. If you do not already have a suitable Strigo account, you will be prompted to create one. You do not need to provide any other personal information to Strigo.

Starting the Lab

Once you have logged in, you will see an initial information dialog which tells you how much time you have in the lab environment and when it will expire.

Click the "Start Now" button to start the lab.

Opening the Lab Guide

The lab environment will start to load. When the first machine is ready you will see a console window with several buttons above it. Click on the "Guide" button to open the lab instructions and to learn more about the lab environment.

Pausing and Resuming the Lab Environment

The lab environment will only be available for a limited number of hours, after which the environment will be deleted.

You can pause the environment when you are not working on a lab to conserve your allotted time. Your environment will also be paused automatically if it is idle for a period of time.

Use the controls at the top right of the window to see how much time you have left or to pause the lab environment.
